Although there are third party solution for this, they come with a larger suite of code that over-layers the standard code. They are also expensive for what new customer sees that should come as standard.
Customers that need to use catch weight cannot use WHS, and the change required is very hard to write without over-layering the standard product.

Yes please add CW in the core product it would make our life so much easier to be able to at the same time use WHS functionality. The ISV available is not enough for our needs

We have the same situation here. We are implementing Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations at our rolls goods company, and we need to use more units of measure for the same product and use an advanced warehouse. This is a must in our business.

I think that most customers who use catch weight have warehouses. They will want to use hand held devices so they need to use WHS processes. Hence the request to have catch weight in the core product.

We know of this requirement and the efficiency it could provide the partners working within the F&B business as well as various selected businesses.
We have not been able to prioritize this area yet, and the mid-term status update reflects our wish to be able to address this issue.
