After 17 years of implementing NAV I am still waiting for Jobs to be integrated with Inventory Picks and Put-aways and Directed Put-away & Pick Locations. Service Management works with Directed Put-away & Pick Locations, but not Inventory Picks...

I have had to bespoke it on a number of locations which is something I would rather not have to do. It is very had to explain why it is not standard to a new or prospective customer.

This has been a massive hole in NAV since Warehousing was first Introduced in version 3.60 and should have been sorted years ago..

This would be great for both Jobs and Service.

Service would be low hanging fruit (AKA Also make sure we can ship using Drop Shipments and Special Orders.
Andrei I have the code here:-)

Jobs is a bit more difficult, since there is a lot of finanical impact and logistics complexity

1) Being able to pick and consume Items on a Job.
2) Purchase goods on a Job and being put on a Bin and Job Location.
3) Transfer between Job Locations.
4) Pick and Ship from a Job Location

5) Only Remove it from WIP when its invoiced, and put it in WIP but at Inventory when purchased or consumed

This is a need. Resource for jobs and planning lines a must.

Jobs is probably top priority

This is not multiple ideas ... It is a massive gap in the integration of the Warehouse module with Jobs and Service Management. It just needs sorting.

This is a strange gap in functionality, why certain areas of functionality will work with warehousing and others won't shows a lack of joined up thinking in the design process. Likewise, some functionality working with picks/put-aways but not with Inventory picks/put aways

As it is commented above, it would be nice to show existing warehousing functions to the new customers/prospects, instead of showing workarounds. With customer specific needs, workarounds are in place, but you should not have to start with them in the first stage.
