1) Company1 gets an Intercompany sales order to ship to Company2 legal entity
2) Co1 produces items and ships as product comes off the production floor
a. Sometimes they will ship partials against the line and ship the remainder the following week since a container ships every week. (The new Loading strategy feature to ship partials resolves this part).
b. There will be multiple sales orders/lines per shipment
3) A secondary requirements is to split the partial shipped lines into another sales order or sales order line, so MRP has the actual receipt dates and not just the one receipt date for the total quantity on the original order line that was shipped in partial
4) Required updating all PO lines/SO line dates if the Load/shipment dates are updated
5) Easily received the load/shipment with barcode scanning to scan a pallet ID only and have it receive all of the items associated with that pallet/shipment.
Provide an ASN solution that meets this criteria.

We use intercompany orders for serialized item, but lose a lot of time receiving them. LP is lost during the process, even if for most of the company palets are stored the way they are received!

As license plates from producing company offen is finished, the abillity to cross dock directly to distributing Company's baydoor would also save a lot of handling in warehouse.

I have just voted for your idea and have just one comment.
I think we do not need a "real ASN message when we stay in the intercompany Purchase order/sales order connection only. Then the packing structure from the IC sales order could simply be used to create an inbound load with the same packing structure for the IC purchase order either in the same or a different client of the D 365 environment.
But what about the IC orders with direct delivery to the final sales order! Here we would additionally need to create an outbound ASN for the orignal sales order ones it is delivered, but currently as far as I know we still have the limitation that we need to use a none WHS controlled warehouse for those kind of direct shipments.
I guess all that needs to be considered an enhancement in this area will hopefully soon be realized.
Thank you!

Most important points, in my opinion, are 1) ability to receive pallets/cartons with licence plate receiving i.e. automated load creation, 2) ability to perform intercompany direct delivery with the packing structure generated in the buying company, not currently feasible because of restrictions on the DD warehouse (cannot be WHS warehouse)
